Peeps; Theres alot spam'nauts going about these days, and now, even here

Links in posts even from your friends are linking to other sites, some with pages that mimic the DA login page and ask for your user name and password. Look at the address it takes you to, or if you've clicked, look at the address bar; If you see a link that isn't deviantart.com, do not continue, and make sure to NOT enter any passwords/user information.

At the moment all i see happening is that bots are using this information to login to your account and then post similar messages to your friends...
So if you've started doing that yourself (but not yourself) then change your password and they won't keep doing it.

I've no idea if there is any spamware etc going on, so be vigilant...

The same is true of emails you recieve; Never click on links in emails EVER; Not even if you've browsed over the link or right clicked to check what it is as its not too hard to write an email that has the look of one link in it that actually means another link, and then that link could steal your non choc chip cookies then redirect you to the intended page, then say.. login to your hotmail account and spam all your mates or if its a directed attack steal your password information for that, and other sites. etc.
